My name is Ece Kuyu, I was born in Kocaeli in 2001.
I graduated from the Painting Department of the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture at Sakarya University in 2024.
I continue my artistic production by continuing my education in the Master's Program in the Painting Department of Sakarya University.
These figures, arranged in a theatrical arrangement, seem to hang as if suspended just before or after an unidentified moment. The rabbit dominates the stage with its large shadow, appearing as a presence that both watches and controls. This figure, simultaneously innocence and uncanny, creates tension.
The stage, constructed with a cinematographic composition, avoids presenting a clear narrative. Instead, it highlights the unease created by the absence of narrative. This space, where familiar images become alienated, opens not to the safe memories of childhood, but to the blurred boundaries of repressed memories. The meaning is intentionally left ambiguous, as is the expressionlessness on the faces of the figures.
