He was born in 2001 in the village of Büyükaltıağaç, in the Meriç district of Edirne. He studied at Edirne Hasan Rıza Fine Arts High School in the Painting Department (2015-2019). He completed his BA in the Painting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University (2020-2024). He is currently continuing his MA in Painting at Hacettepe University, Institute of Fine Arts (2024-...). He continues his work in Ankara.
My artistic production aims to make forgotten or repressed narratives visible. I reconstruct local stories, personal narratives and myths with found materials that have lost their context and function. Objects such as old photographs, documents and photo cases enter my production as carriers that trigger memory. My process of selecting and placing these objects is intuitive; however, it is not random, but depends on the content of the narrative and the plastic possibilities of the material. The repetitive and layered structure of engraving strengthens my relationship with memory. By combining pencil, charcoal, and printmaking techniques with found materials, I create the visual expression of forgotten narratives. “Not to Be Forgotten” invites the viewer to remember, resist forgetting, and rethink their relationship with the past.
