I was born in Istanbul in 2002. I am studying Painting at Namık Kemal University in Tekirdağ. I am continuing my adventure, which began with landscape drawings in middle school, with human figures.
In the composition drawings I create, I use facial expressions that trigger feelings of empathy, conscience, sadness, and happiness, which are like a long text, and I give place to repressed feelings that have no strength left to be expressed. I transform sentences that remain unheard when told into visuals.
Exhibitions I have participated in before;
In this work, I combined individual memory and collective memory at the same point. Faces appear as fragments of memory, mental residue, and subconscious images.
Expressions that fade along the depth refer to the selective, elliptical, and always transforming nature of remembering.
In other words, the memory that has passed continues to change over time.
Duality lies at the heart of the work: light and darkness, remembering and forgetting, a mental transitional space where the individual and the collective intertwine. Rather than a holistic representation of memory, we can find its fragmented, layered, and ambiguous structure only in a memory.
