Solak’s painting practice is shaped around topics informed by his own experiences such as social interaction, emotional contagion, social mimicry, the food chain, and industrial relations. Adopting an expressive and intuitive production style, the artist communicates with the viewer through grotesque narrative language, figurative structures, exaggerated gestures, and scenes in motion. With this visual language, he questions the invisible relationships between individuals within multi-layered ecosystems extending from the food chain to consumer culture. The artist, who has participated in many exhibitions both at home and abroad, continues his work in Istanbul and Bursa.
