Biography
Emir Furkan Tekkalmaz was born in Eskişehir in 1997. He began his painting education at Eskişehir Fine Arts High School in 2011 and continued at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University's Painting Department, where he was accepted in 2015. He received training in the workshops of Prof. Nedret Sekban and Dr. Lecturer Ahmet Umur Deniz. He worked in techniques such as lithography, fresco, sgraffito, stained glass, and engraving; he worked as an assistant at the Fresco Workshop in 2019-2020. He graduated in 2020. He started his master’s degree at MSGSÜ Institute of Fine Arts in 2023.
Levitas

This work depicts a weightless existence through figures disconnected from the ground.
There are not dancing bodies, but moments suspended in time.
They neither fall to the ground nor fully rise — they simply float.
Levitas is a painting of an invisible rhythm, an inner lightness.
