My name is Ece Kuyu, I was born in 2001 in Kocaeli.
I graduated from the Painting Department of the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture at Sakarya University in 2024.
I continue my artistic production by continuing my education in the Master's Program in the Painting Department of Sakarya University.
In a dreamy, blurry scene, human legs merge with turbines. These hybrid bodies, standing on a fairytale-like ground, take on an extraordinary form of the 'machine' and the 'organic.' Inspired by Donna Haraway's theory of the 'cyborg body,' the rotation of the turbines demonstrates how technology empowers the body while simultaneously exploiting its energy. This hybrid form rejects rigid distinctions such as nature/culture, body/machine, while also making visible the exploitative mechanisms of traditional power structures. This meeting, which culminates in the transformation of identity, presents the integration of the body with technology as a blurred dream.
