Inspired by Carl Gustav Jung's archetypes, the work titled "Persona" utilizes molds of the artist's body, such as hands, arms, and legs, creating projections of the self through repetition. Placed inside a found wooden cabinet from the 1940s, the repeating body parts, while initially resembling a neat and ordinary wardrobe, actually represent a memory where the twin versions of the self are archived. The skin-like texture of the silicone draws the viewer into material reality; the multiplication of the parts reveals the individual's fragmented identity and the conflict between the persona and the shadow self. Each morning, a new skin covering chosen from the wardrobe, like putting on new clothes, represents a new twin self. The work, which addresses the selection of twin selves instead of clean clothes, aims to move the viewer beyond the question of "What should I wear today?" and prompts the question of "Who should I be today?". The work asserts that selves are selectable and variable through the placement of body molds in a wardrobe. The work, which both conceals and reveals the theatrical layers of identity through the body form, invites the viewer to open their own inner closet, question their hidden selves, and become aware of the identity patterns woven with repetition.
