Emir Yasin Yağmurca was born in Istanbul in 1995 and lives there. After graduating from the Visual Arts Department of the Faculty of Art and Design at Eskişehir Osmangazi University in 2020, he began his master's studies in the same department. He creates his works in Istanbul and various open spaces. His work generally revolves around video, painting, photography, and installation disciplines. Having started his artistic journey with video art and installation, the artist has focused on painting and photographic printmaking techniques since 2023. Between 2018 and 2025, he exhibited his work in various group exhibitions and fairs in Istanbul, Ankara, Eskişehir, and Berlin. In April 2025, he presented his first solo exhibition in Istanbul. Currently residing in Istanbul, the artist continues his work within "Atelier Dual," of which he is a founding partner.
His "Impression of Detail" series, fundamentally approaching landscape painting with an impressionistic style, strives to present the impression in detail. The series, emerging from narrow frames within the Belgrad Forest, signifies a process of adaptation. In contrast to the works from the period when the artist lived in Eskişehir, where we see the influences of the steppe, this series presents a more focused, detail-oriented perspective. No longer able to depict nature in expansive landscapes, the artist seeks a solution to this problem in the "Impression of Detail" series.
