Ahmet Hamdi Başsöz (Istanbul, 1998) graduated from Marmara University, Department of Painting and Art Education in 2023. Although he focused on linoleum printing and oil painting techniques throughout his education, he continues to produce work by incorporating different techniques into his work. His works feature an approach that centers on humanity.
Depersonalization is the moment when a person realizes they have become detached from their own self, feeling as if they are observing their own thoughts, feelings, and actions from a distance. Those of us who are aware of this moment struggle with a fundamental uncertainty about who is in control of our lives. Do we choose our path with our own free will and make conscious choices? Or are we merely spectators subject to the whims of an invisible force?
