About The Work

Starting from the end of the 1980s, “horses” began to take an important place in both Tekcan's art and life. Horses, which Tekcan describes as a perfect creation, have formed a new phase and excitement of his artistic life.  Abstraction and stylization are a tool that he has resorted to since the beginning and often appear together in his paintings. The lithe movements of the horses that shield the king, galloping, and whose manes are tossed by the wind, which he has loaded with the mystery of the world of thought, integrate with the form.
