About The Work


They are abstract portrait works of the artist. It becomes a different point at which life and its future are determined, all its plans, paths change. In this portrait, the artist continued his efforts to freeze his thoughts, stop time and understand.



In The Artist


Haluk Akakce, one of the leading figures of contemporary Turkish art (d. 1970, Ankara), is described as an artist and performer who gives a sense of space and endless time in his works. It shows a wide range of diversity from Akakçe's video installations to murals, published in acrylic sequences on panels and paper. Akakçe graduated from Ankara Bilkent University with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, a Master's degree from the Royal College of Art in London and a master's degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He had his first solo exhibition in 1997, after the open in Chicago, he Decamped between London and New York.


Among the outstanding biennale and festival he participated in was the 25th Dec. There is also a biennial. Sao Paulo Biennial "Metropolitan Iconographies”, 2002, "Painting at the Edge of the World" Walker Art Center, Minneapolis and 6. International Painting Festival. Paolo Colombo is located in the Istanbul Biennial district. In 2006, Akakçe realized the “Sky is the Limit” project, consisting of the world's largest Viva Vision LED presentation project on Fremont Street in Las Vegas at the invitation of the governor. After this attempt to publish four blocks in downtown Las Vegas, Akakçe was invited by the Louis Vuitton brand to exhibit a video installation at the Maison Louis Vuitton Champs-Elysées.
