About The Work

Turan has recently appeared in front of us with his smooth white sculptures, in which he refers to the pure and innocent world of children. In contrast to the identification of the symbol of power and sovereignty attributed to masculine identity with pointed, sharp lines, it is based on the rounded, smooth and angular forms of the feminine world. Children's sculptures, which seem cute, optimistic, funny to us in dynamic forms, on the other hand invite us to question dark and unacceptable issues in the context of sociological, theological, psychological and cultural context.

About The Artist

He graduated from the Sculpture Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Istanbul /1996

While processing objects and figures from everyday life with a childlike approach, it directs the viewer to look more deeply at what they see and focus on numerous issues related to social issues. Because his sculptures are usually playful and dynamic, they always contain some kind of movement. Although these sculptures cannot move in real life, they are an important part of his works. Turan's outdoor sculptures can be seen in Turkey, Germany, France, Hungary, Israel, Latvia, South Korea, Dubai, Egypt, Italy, India, Syria, Burkina Faso, China, Sweden, USA and Mexico.

She lives and works in Istanbul and is represented by PG Art Gallery.
