Biography: Yakup İskender was born in Ankara in 1999. He enrolled in the Hacettepe Faculty of Fine Arts Ceramics Program in 2018 and continued his education in the Painting Department of the same school in 2019. He then enrolled in the Painting Department of Hacettepe Institute in 2024, where he continues his education.
The artist's subjects revolve around personal archaeology, drawing inspiration from his own experiences. He creates works using traditional and digital mediums, drawing on everyday experiences. He takes a multidisciplinary approach to his art and works in a variety of mediums, including woodcuts, screenprints, airbrushing, and oil painting, as well as digital painting and modeling, and VR (Virtual Reality) works.
