He is a young artist who portrays landscape, scenery, and traditional themes on canvas with a contemporary perspective. Focusing on acrylic paint and canvas, Yamanel blends the natural structure of his region, cultural values, and traces of rural life with a powerful visual language in his works. His artistic practice is situated at the intersection of the preservation of cultural heritage and modern forms of expression.
He nourishes his art from geographical memory and the texture of rural life; in his works, he focuses on the often-overlooked details behind man-made natural landscapes and the traces of traditional culture. He particularly depicts the evolving cultural elements of rural life and the fragility of the nature-human relationship. Technically, he creates a unique landscape language inspired by the formal order and use of color in traditional Turkish arts. Using the powerful structure of acrylic paint, he aims to convey not only the landscape's appearance but also its emotional charge to the viewer. This approach reflects his search to transform artistic techniques into a means of expression aimed at preserving cultural values. Yamanel began his education internationally and completed his primary and secondary education in Germany. He completed his undergraduate and graduate education at Kırıkkale University's Department of Painting and is currently pursuing a master's degree in the Department of Painting at the same university. His academic research focuses on the integration of landscape painting and traditional art forms into contemporary art. The artist continues his work in his studio in Kırıkkale and focuses his current work on exploring the cultural and natural riches of the Anatolian landscape.
