EXHIBITION: Anadolu'dan İzlenimler 5. Dönem

DESCRIPTION

Born in Ardahan in 2002, she is currently pursuing her undergraduate studies in the Department of Painting at Sakarya University. Her artistic practice highlights themes such as humanity's fragile relationship with nature, traces of the Anthropocene, spatial voids, and existential alienation. She primarily utilizes charcoal, charcoal, and oil painting techniques in her work, visualizing these themes with a minimal and atmospheric language.

Emptiness echoes the silence left behind after the destruction of nature by human hands. This vast expanse, which suspends time and space, now serves only as a reminder of lost creatures, erased traces, and transformed ecosystems. But emptiness is never truly empty; it bears within itself the traces of both extinction and the possibility of rebirth.

Birds soaring in the sky are like the still-existing breath of life; the barcode appearing on eggs lying close to the ground is the cold trace of human touch on nature.

This contrast between the simplicity of nature and human intervention brings an invisible tension to the surface. The dominance of monochrome tones conveys both a sense of serenity and a quiet anxiety in the viewer.

This work evokes the emptiness of the Anthropocene and the fragile balance between destruction and life.
