Fatih Şimşek;
He was born in Bartın in 1992. He completed his middle and high school education in Bartın and entered the painting department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2010. He participated in in-school and out-of-school exhibitions and other art events. He studied at the Warsaw Fine Arts Academy in Poland with the student exchange program in 2014-2015. He graduated from the Yalçın Karayağız studio in the spring of 2016. He is a live model at the Kocaeli Fine Arts Faculty.
Between Dilemmas: Nature and Human
These works address the complex relationship between nature and humans with a timeless perspective. The figures in the paintings are not just visual elements; they stand out as beings that interact with nature and transform it. The narrative, which extends from a prehistoric atmosphere to the present day, aims to establish a holistic approach by exceeding the boundaries of time and space. In this context, the works evaluate the unity of nature and humans sometimes through harmony and sometimes through conflict. They invite the viewer to examine the relationship between nature and humans not only through superficial observations but also through a deep perspective. The figures go beyond being a part of the space and appear as elements that integrate with it and transform together with it.
