A forgotten structure under the sun, a few plastic chairs stacked on top of each other at its door. Silence is the most dominant element of this scene. There are traces of human existence, but there is no human being. It is not abandoned; it is as if this place is waiting outside of time. This space, stretching by the sea, was clothed with an unseasonable stillness, free from the gaiety of the cottage. The shadow of the house carries out the silence inside. It calls the viewer to that brief but intense moment when familiar spaces become alienated. Into that Decadent space where no one is, but where everyone was once.
