Sevilay Nurten Şahin was born in Istanbul in 1997. After studying painting at Aşık Veysel Fine Arts High School, she completed her high school education at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. After graduating from Yalçın Karayağız’s studio (5), she worked as Mustafa Özel’s assistant. She is among the 5th Term artists of the Art in the Passage project of the İyilik İçin Sanat Derneği. She currently continues her production at the One Year in the Passage studio in DenizBank. “A hidden moment behind a window; two silhouettes, A warmth inside, night outside. The window is not just a frame, it is a silent witness looking out from the outside to the intimacy of love. The two figures standing in embrace protect both their inner worlds and the space they have established together. This scene under the light is an expression of both a simple and infinite closeness.
