Sevilay Nurten Şahin was born in Istanbul in 1997. After completing her high school education at Aşık Veysel Fine Arts High School, she studied painting and completed her painting studies at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. After graduating from Yalçın Karayağız’s studio (5), she worked as Mustafa Özel’s assistant. She is among the 5th Term artists of the Pasajda Bir Yıl project of the İyilik İçin Sanat Derneği. She currently continues her production at the Pasajda Bir Yıl studio located at DenizBank. “A hidden moment behind a window; two silhouettes, A warmth inside, night outside. The window is not just a frame, it is a silent witness looking out from the outside into the intimacy of love. The two figures standing in embrace protect both their inner worlds and the space they have established together. This scene under the light is an expression of both a simple and infinite closeness.
