Artist Busra Aydagun with the Theme of Voluntary Migration
As the Art for Good Association, the theme of the “Artist Placement” program, which we organized the second one this year with the Kenan Yavuz Ethnography Museum, was “Voluntary Migration”. Member of the Museum Advisory Board and art consultant Dr. In the program curated by Feride Çelik, artist Büşra Aydagün gave the name “Migration Path” to the rug she weaves by recycling clothes that are not used in the village. The work aims to tell about the return to the roots, the beauty of rural life and the cultural break with migration.
We have continued the process that we started last year with the “Sieve's Memory” project by processing the phenomenon of “Migration from Village to City” this year. Artist Büşra Aydagün added a new dimension to this theme with her “Çileme” work, which is a decorative tradition of Anatolian houses, as well as the rugs she weaves with unused clothes.
