About the Artist Residency
The theme of the project, which was organized for the first time at the Kenan Yavuz Ethnography Museum, was determined as “The Memory of the Sieve”.
Our Sieve Memory Project is a journey from the hands of Anatolian women who hold sieves with the healing that the soil offers to life. The Screens used by the artist in his practice have now become the focus of the project.
On the outer surface of the sieve there are sections from the movement of the hands of the Anatolian woman who cultivates the soil, while on the inner surface the medicinal endemic plants of the region offer the colors of Bayburt.
