A Short Bio :
Tolga Turan was born in Eskisehir in 1972, Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts. Department of Sculpture Prof. Nilay Kan is a graduate of the big working workshop and G. of Yeditepe University.S.F Department of Plastic Arts Y.He finished his undergraduate education with his thesis titled “The Use of Materials in Abstract Expressionist Painting”. He has participated in various group exhibitions at home and abroad, named “Meeting of Art with Wire “ Yeditepe University G.S.He won a degree in the Steel Wire Sculpture Competition prepared in cooperation with F and BMS wire. . Currently, he continues his studies together with the Art Association for Good. He currently lives and works in Istanbul
Sculptures :
Tolga Turan's sculptures reflect his abstract expressionist approach by using classical sculpture casting and metal bending techniques. He uses mainly metal material in his works and achieves figure abstraction by both casting and bending methods. His sculptures blend modern expressions with classical techniques.
