472. ART MEETING

In our 472nd art meeting, we visit the artist Hanefi Yeter. Hanefi Yeter was born in Bayburt in 1947. In 1967, he started his education at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu's studio and during this education he worked in Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu's private studio. In 1970, he was selected to study art at the “Academie des Beaux-Arts” in Paris; due to personal reasons, he was unable to complete his education and returned to Istanbul. He completed his education at the Academy and graduated in 1972. In 1973, he passed the State Scholarship Examination and started his postgraduate studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin, graduating in 1978. He had more than ninety solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad in Vienna, Paris, Brussels, Manchester and various cities in Germany. He was the first artist of Turkish origin to hold a solo exhibition in East Germany. In that exhibition, his catalog was published with special permissions. His works can be seen in national and international museums and private collections. There are 5 murals, 2 ceramic facades, 2 mosaic panels, 1 sculpture in Berlin and 3 murals in Darmstadt. Between 2006 and 2012, he realized nearly a hundred sculptures and reliefs in Mersin, Aydın, Denizli, Trabzon, Ankara, Bursa, Antalya, Tarsus and Nevşehir.
