Art Meeting 438

At the 438th Art Meeting, we visit the artist Gülçin Anıl. Anıl's paintings are also the life story of the artist. First, she transfers the experiences of a period of forty years onto the canvas. With sharp, decisive brush strokes and bold colors. 'Rocks', 'Seagulls' and 'Boats' are his days at sea. Far from tranquility, these are noisy, moving, overflowing paintings, just like the confusion and turmoil in his life... He sends a message about the days to come: He will never give up, he will resist, he will struggle, just like the elements in his paintings... 'People in Shadows' is the beginning of the artist's process of questioning his life. While decorating the canvas surface with memories of her youth, Gülçin Anıl confronts her past and feels reborn. She will no longer paint to live, she will live to paint. 'Music', she says, because it is a victory to be celebrated. Even though she has achieved it on her own, she never reduces it to herself. His respect is directed towards all his fellow women, and he encourages them... Although his women appear anonymous on the surface of the canvas, in reality they have very special personalities. In his paintings on the themes of 'Goddesses', 'Women with Wings' and 'Fertility', the beauty, strength, honor, productivity, creativity and endurance of women are celebrated.

While she is in deep search in her inner journey, she meets different lives and beliefs in her journeys on the surface of the world. The more he probes, the more he discovers that the human quest for the sacred, though different in form, is the same in essence. With this realization, he begins his inner journey from 'Buddhas' to 'The Return'.by painting them. Each canvas of the artist is a mirror that reflects his intense energy, striking dynamism and most importantly his heart, without compromising technical originality.

In the series themed 'Dances', the enthusiasm conveyed in a variety of figures and a riot of colors is an indication that he has completed the process of reckoning. The artist reveals that she is now holding on to life by embracing all people.

Gülçin Anıl's artistic adventure has been continuing professionally for more than 30 years. Her paintings are appreciated with great interest and admiration not only in Turkey but also on international platforms.
