Art Meeting 435

In our 435th art meeting, we visit Beymen's global project “Golden Opulence”, which reflects Beymen's history of more than half a century. Within the scope of this multifaceted project, which took more than two years to prepare, Beymen presents the designs of more than 50 brands that shape luxury and fashion on a global scale, from Valentino to Balmain, Dior to Givenchy, Etro to Brunello Cucinelli, Stella McCartney to Dolce&Gabbana, Zimmermann to Victoria Beckham, inspired by the 500-year luxury journey of these lands, once again revealing the importance and value of our cultural heritage. The exhibition also includes very special artifacts unearthed by collectors for this project.

Inspired by the project, brands designed and produced Beymen exclusive pieces reflecting their own identities. These pieces were brought together in the “Golden Opulence” exhibition curated by journalist and author Laurence Benaïm as part of Beymen's 50th anniversary celebrations. Divided into three sections with the themes of “Precious Dreams”, “Bosphorus Gardens” and “Mineral Roundness”, the exhibition meets with visitors at Tophane-i Amire Culture and Art Center, which was transformed into a futuristic structure by Bureau Betak, a design and production agency that has signed important projects at world fashion weeks. “Golden Opulence” exhibition also welcomes two guest artists. Artist Hakan Yılmaz's digital work “In The Mind of a Designer”, inspired by the unique pieces in the exhibition, and Japanese artist Miyouki Nakajima's “Flowers”, a Beymen exclusive.
