In our 434th art meeting, we visit Ahmet Öğüt's studio. In 2007-2008, Öğüt participated in a two-year residency program at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. Ahmet Öğüt is also an interactive artist who combines contemporary art with the practices of everyday life with an interdisciplinary approach, making small interventions in public space, opening micro chaotic spaces and involving the audience in his work.
Öğüt has had solo exhibitions at Artspace Visual Arts Centre in Sydney, Berkeley Art Museum, Pacific Film Archive BAM/PFA's MATRIX Program and Kunsthalle Basel. In 2009, she was one of the two artists representing Turkey at the Venice Biennale, one of the most prestigious art events in the world. Performa 09, 3rd Visual Art and Performance Biennial, 5th Berlin Biennial and 9th International Istanbul Biennial are among the group exhibitions she participated in. He is currently a participant in the residency program at the Tarabya Culture Academy, an institution of the Federal Government of Germany.
Ahmet Öğüt continues to work in Berlin.
