Art Meeting 405

In our 405th art meeting, we visit Steve McCurry's photography exhibition at the Cinema Museum. Steve McCurry (b. April 23, 1950) is an American photographer and photojournalist. Steve McCurry, who gained worldwide fame with the photograph he published in the June 1985 issue of National Geographic Magazine under the title “Afghan Girl: Sharbat Gula”, offers windows into other worlds with the forms and colors, shapes and symmetries he presents with an astute eye in his exhibition. The exhibition brings together 51 of the artist's best-known and best-remembered works taken in many different parts of the world over the last 30 years. McCurry has photographed on many assignments for National Geographic and has been a member of Magnum Photos since 1986.
